UAE Etihad Rail and Keolis Partner to Operate Passenger Trains, Targeting 36 Million Riders by 2030

Abu Dhabi: In a landmark move for the UAE’s transport sector, Etihad Rail has partnered with Keolis, a leading international operator of passenger transport services, to manage and operate its upcoming passenger rail network. This collaboration aims to make the Etihad Rail project one of the most advanced and efficient rail systems in the region.

The partnership was officially signed in Abu Dhabi and marks a new era in sustainable mobility. Under the agreement, Keolis will oversee operations, station management, customer service, and maintenance to ensure world-class standards.

The UAE’s passenger rail service will connect key cities including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah. Once fully operational, Etihad Rail expects the network to carry up to 36 million passengers annually by 2030, transforming the way people travel across the Emirates.
